Giants 29th May (60)

Friends for the Giants

Posted on June 4, 2012 by peebles

On Tuesday 29th May, the Giants were joined by the Cardrona Rainbow Unit, Brownie Unit and Cardrona Scout Group for an afternoon of craft fun! Under the watchful eye of Sara Best, the young participants set out into the forest to find as many natural materials as they could to create their own artwork. When they returned, armed with sticks and moss, daisies and pebbles, they set about weaving these materials into small pieces of hessian to create their own tiny versions of the Giants’ faces.

After that, each group banded together, and put their creative powers into collaberation creating some spectacular banners. The Giants were extermely taken with the new faces around the forest, and were eager for them to stay, and so these spectacular small faces and huge banners now sit in the trees up around Glentress, where any visitors can admire the work of these little Leonardos. Theyre rather spectacular, we’re sure you’ll agree!
